The Park Avenue Armory presents Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch performing new sonic compositions live for the first time as part of the Artists Studio series, curated by Jason Moran. The artists will be joined by musicians and collaborators, including producer and DJ Ashland Mines (aka Total Freedom) and composer/producer Aaron David Ross (who will be conducting and doing the music direction).
Müncher Kammerspiele presents a stage adaptation of Ryan Trecartin's video The Re'Search. Adapted by Felix Rothenhäusler and set in a room designed by Jonas von Ostrowski with a light installation by Matthias Singer, The Re'Seach is the first theatrical staging of a text by Ryan Trecartin. A bilingual publication of the screenplay of The Re'Search, translated by Tobias Haberkorn and published by Merve Verlag, is forthcoming.
Coinciding with the production is an installation of Premise Place (edit 1), exhibited for the first time in Europe at the Sammlung Goetz after premiering at the New Museum in "The Generational Triennial: Younger Than Jesus."
